Capacity

Dedicated Freight & Contract Lanes

For repeat lanes and predictable volume, dedicated freight gives you reserved equipment, a known driver, and consistent transit times — capacity you can plan your supply chain around.

Reserved capacity

Equipment committed to your lane so you’re never scrambling for a truck.

Consistent transit

The same lane, the same reliable timing, week after week.

Known partner

A familiar team that learns your docks, your product, and your standards.

What dedicated freight means

A dedicated arrangement reserves capacity for your freight on an ongoing basis — a set lane, a regular schedule, and equipment you can count on. Instead of re-quoting the spot market every week and hoping a truck is available, you have committed capacity and predictable cost. For shippers with steady volume, that predictability is often worth more than chasing the lowest spot rate.

Who benefits most

  • Manufacturers and distributors with recurring shipments on the same lane
  • Shippers feeding a fixed delivery schedule (DC replenishment, production lines)
  • Businesses burned by spot-market capacity gaps during peak season
  • Cross-border programs that need consistent customs handling each run

Contract lanes and how we price them

We build a dedicated program around your actual volume, lane, and service requirements — then commit equipment to it. Because the lane is known and repeatable, pricing is stable and transparent, and service quality compounds: the team learns your facilities, your appointment windows, and your product, so every run gets smoother.

Scales with your peaks

When your dedicated volume spikes beyond the committed equipment, our licensed brokerage (MC# 1806006) layers in vetted partner capacity so service never slips. You keep one accountable point of contact whether the freight rides our truck or a partner’s. For one-off surges, see expedited shipping; for the full-trailer basics, see full truckload.

Questions

Dedicated Lanes — your questions answered

What is dedicated freight service?

Dedicated freight reserves trucking capacity for a specific shipper, lane, or schedule on an ongoing basis. You get committed equipment and consistent transit instead of re-sourcing a carrier for every shipment, which improves reliability and makes cost predictable.

How much volume do I need for a dedicated lane?

There’s no hard minimum — what matters is consistency. If you ship the same lane regularly (for example, weekly or several times a month), a dedicated arrangement is usually worth discussing. Tell us your volume and frequency and we’ll design a program around it.

Is dedicated freight more expensive than spot?

Dedicated pricing is stable and often more economical over time because it removes the volatility and capacity risk of the spot market. You trade the occasional rock-bottom spot rate for guaranteed equipment and consistent service.

Can a dedicated lane be cross-border?

Absolutely. Many of our dedicated programs are cross-border CA↔US lanes, where consistent customs handling (PARS/PAPS, ACE/ACI) adds real value run after run.
